Catherine McNamara papers, 1940-1944.

Primarily letters (1943-1944) received by McNamara, secretary to Minnesota governors Harold Stassen and Edward Thye, from Stassen and former governor's office staff members serving in the U.S. armed forces. The letters discuss office and Minnesota politics, and provide miscellaneous information on service in the army and navy. There are also three draft documents relating to a 1940 electrical workers' strike settlement; and a confidential memorandum (1942) outlining the political arrangements surrounding Roy Dunn's resignation as Republican national committeeman.
